the Pop Wuj Clinic operates for the urban poor. Staffed by a local doctor, the clinic has developed an incredible reputation in the city and every day a line forms well before its doors open. The clinic is free to those who cannot pay, and for those who can, all clinic income is invested back into the clinic projects.

We attract medical students and professionals to our school in order to learn spanish, which allows the rural communities we serve to have access to superb care. In collaboration with six non-governmental organizations, one local public hospital, the New York Presbyterian hospital, two Guatemalan government health centers, one private rural midwifery clinic, and the Pop Wuj Clinic, our program can react to and serve many different situations as they arise.
